More widely known as Dr. Seuss, Theodor Seuss Geisel was also a fine artist in secrecy. It wasn't until after his death that his fine art was revealed to the public. This logo is a posthumous re-branding for
him as a fine artist, rather than an illustrator for children's books.
The logo was inspired by his lifelong alter-ego, commonly identified as the Cat in the Hat. The whiskers are important as they pay homage to his own signature from his early career as a cartoonist.
